José Márcio Leão da Silva surpreendeu os favoritos e venceu a segunda etapa do Circuito de Corridas Caixa, realizada neste domingo (29), em Belo Horizonte. O atleta de 20 anos cruzou a linha de chegada dos 10 km, na Praça da Pampulha, em 29min47s, deixando para trás Valdir Sérgio de Oliveira, segundo com 29min55s, o queniano Kipkemei Mutai, terceiro com 29min57s e Giomar Pereira da Silva, quarto com 30min10s.
O dia de sol e temperatura amena na capital mineira favoreceu a presença de 2.500 atletas, que tiveram a opção também do trajeto menor, de 5 km. Entre as mulheres, a vitória foi da etíope Shewarge Alene Amare, com 34min28s. Ela foi seguida pelas quenianas Nelly Jepkurui, com 34min47s, e Ednah Murhwana, com 35min42s. Conceição de Maria Carvalho Oliveira foi a melhor brasileira, em quarto lugar (35min52s).
O Circuito Caixa volta em agosto, com mais três etapas: em Campo Grande, dia 7, Fortaleza, 14, e Recife, 28. Em setembro serão realizadas as etapas de Uberlândia (dia 18), e Curitiba (25). Em outubro serão três as etapas do Circuito, em São Paulo (dia 2) Ribeirão Preto (16) e Porto Alegre (30). A corrida de Brasília, dia 6 de novembro, fecha o circuito.
