O Edifício da Editora Abril, em São Paulo, recebeu nesta quarta-feira, 25 de janeiro, a etapa final da Vertical World Circuit, circuito mundial de corrida em escadarias. Na prova paulista, os atletas enfrentaram 30 andares e 672 degraus. A vitória ficou com o alemão Thomas Dold, que levou 3min01s para cruzar a linha de chegada. Experiente neste tipo de prova, ele já venceu outras etapas do circuito, como a do Empire State Building, em Nova York, Berlim, Milão e Frankfurt.
O segundo a chegar foi Omar Bekali, da Bélgica, com a marca de 3min13. O italiano Fábio Ruga, com 3min14, foi o terceiro. Na disputa feminina, a campeã foi a italiana Valentina Belloti, com 3min53s. A norte-americana Kristin Freey, com 4min14s, e a também italiana Cristina Bonacina, com 4min33s, completaram o pódio.
