A vitória entre os homens ficou com o queniano Solomon Naibei Bushendich, que fez o pecurso em 2h10min38s. O italiano Ruggero Pertile veio em seguida, com 2h11min23s. Daniel Too Kiprugut, do Quênia, foi terceiro, com 2h12min04s
Já entre as mulheres, a Itália levou a melhor. Marcella Mancini, com 2h41min24s, foi a primeira, seguida pela queniana Monica Wangari, com 2h42min56s, e por sua compatriota Stefania Benedetti, com 2h45min20s.
