Tudo o que tinha que ser feito já deve estar em dia duas semanas antes de uma maratona. Então, é hora de tirar o pé, diminuir consideravelmente o volume e a intensidade do treino para estar descansado no seu grande dia.
Reforçando: a palavra chave para estas semanas que te preocupam tanto é descanso! Dê continuidade às rodagens mais leves de até uma hora e faça uma semana antes (no domingo que antecede a prova) no máximo um treino meio longo, de até 18 km. E, depois, é só desacelerar bem, fazendo na semana que antecede a prova somente 3 treinos de no máximo 40 minutos em ritmo leve.
Estrear numa maratona sempre dá um friozinho na barriga. Tranqüilize-se e faça uma prova progressiva, pois, geralmente, encaixamos perfeitamente nosso ritmo depois de algumas provas.
