Cameron Meyer (Garmin-Cervélo) venceu a 4ª etapa do Tour Down Under, após percorrer 124 km entre Norwood-Strathalbyn. O australiano completou a prova em 2h57min55s após fazer parte da fuga do dia, e de quebra assumiu a liderança da competição.
Além de Meyer, Matthew Wilson (Garmin-Cervélo), Laurens ten Dam (Rabobank), Rob Rujigh e Thomas De Gendt (Vacansoleil) protagonizaram a fuga, que cruzou a meta com 24 segundos de vantagem para o grupo principal.
No sprint final, Cameron Meyer, que já sagrou-se campeão do mundo de pista em várias oportunidades, levou a melhor sobre De Gendt e Ten Dam, segundo e terceiro respectivamente.
