A Volta da Catalunha, que acontece de 23 a 29 de março, publicou nesta terça-feira a lista de participantes da prova. Entre os principais destaques estão os espanhóis Alberto Contador (Tinkoff-Saxo) e Joaquim Rodriguez (Katusha), o britânico Chris Froome (Sky) e o colombiano Rigoberto Uran.
A competição é a prova ciclística mais antiga do país, superando a hoje mais importante Volta da Espanha, e a terceira mais antiga do mundo, atrás do Tour de France e do Giro de Itália.
Nascido em Barcelona, o catalão Joaquim Rodríguez busca seu terceiro título “em casa”. A volta, porém, promete ser das mais difíceis, com alguns dos principais nomes do ciclismo para roubá-lo o troféu.
A prova tem início na cidadezinha de Calella, 16 mil habitantes, e termina em 29 de março, em Barcelona. A chegada acontece na estação de esqui de La Molina.
