Fact, de Fernando Alonso, tem novo diretor

O ex-ciclista italiano Paolo Bettini, duas vezes campeão mundial, confirmou na última terça-feira (7) que será o diretor geral da equipe de ciclismo comandada pelo piloto de Fórmula 1, Fernando Alonso.

Em entrevista ao site Cyclingnews, Bettini diz que se sente “como se estivesse a regressar ao pelotão ou a preparar um Mundial. É um projeto inovador e ambicioso e tudo aconteceu muito rápido. Foi como se um grande comboio passasse e eu decidi apanhá-lo”, afirmou.

Bettini ocupava, até o fim de 2013, o cargo de diretor técnico da seleção italiana de ciclismo. Com ele, a equipe Fact (sigla de Fernando Alonso Cycling Team), de Alonso, está em busca de um lugar de destaque no ciclismo Pro Tour, que irá estrear em 2015.
