O primeiro dia do CrossFit Games 2018 chegou ao fim, mas o filme parece o mesmo do ano passado. Tia-Clair Toomey e Mat Fraser, atuais campeões da competição, seguem vivos rumo a mais um título. O americano fechou o primeiro dia na liderança, enquanto a australiana está em segundo lugar, colada em laura Horvath, líder geral.
Mesmo o seu “pior” resultado no dia, um 11º conquistado na maratona de remo, foi suficiente para tirar Mat Fraser da ponta. Essa foi a única prova em que o atual bicampeão ficou fora do Top 10, se garantindo na ponta ao final do dia. Tia-Clair Toomey chegou a lidera no final da terceira prova, mas Laura Horvath foi melhor na maratona de remo e tomou a liderança.
Nessa quinta-feira (02) os atletas irão descansar, depois do dia mais cansativo e exigente da história. Os atletas voltarão para as disputas na sexta-feira (03) para realizar uma prova com Rope Climb e corrida de obstáculos.
