Na manhã do último domingo (14), o Brasil garantiu o título do 3º Desafio Raia Rápida, na piscina do Parque Aquático do Botafogo, no Rio de Janeiro. A seleção, composta pelos nadadores Guilherme Guido, Felipe França, Nicholas Santos e Matheus Santana, superou a Austrália, África do Sul e Estados Unidos para garantir a vitória.
Nas disputas individuais, os brasileiros Felipe França e Nicholas Santos foram os grandes destaques do dia. No nado peito, Felipe França cravou uma grande batalha com o sul-africano Cameron Van Der Burgh e acabou vencendo. Enquanto isso, Nicholas Santo brilhou e faturou o estilo borboleta, deixando o americano Eugene Godsoe para trás.
Para garantir o título do Desafio, a decisão foi para o revezamento 4x50m medley. Os brasileiros superaram os americanos por apenas sete centésimos e ficaram com o título. Na soma total de pontos, o Brasil marcou 15 pontos, os Estados Unidos ficaram na segunda colocação, com 11, a África do Sul conquistou o bronze, com 9 pontos, e a Austrália, campeã do torneio no ano passado, acabou no quarto posto, com apenas 1 ponto.
