Por mais contraditório que possa parecer, comer ovos, salsicha e bacon no café da manhã pode ajudar a perder peso. Pelo menos é o que indica um estudo feito pela Universidade de Missouri (EUA).
De acordo com a pesquisa, um café da manhã rico em proteínas, ao invés de carboidratos ou fibras, ajuda a combater a fome e evita aquela vontade de beliscar alimentos ao longo do dia.
O experimento feito pela Universidade de Missouri foi realizado em um grupo de mulheres com idade entre os 18 e 55 anos. O resultado mostrou que um café da manhã rico em proteína as manteve por mais tempo alimentadas do que uma refeição com menos proteína mas com a mesma quantidade de fibras.
Pesquisador responsável pelo projeto, o Dr. Kevin Maki acredita que em torno de 35 gramas de proteína no café da manha – o equivalente a quatro ovos ou duas salsicha e um pedaço de bacon – ajudam a regular o apetite.
