O paranaense Alexander Loiola Gomes e a gaúcha radicada em São Paulo Ariane Monticeli venceram na tarde deste sábado, 30 de abril, em Porto Alegre/RS, o Campeonato Brasileiro de Duathlon 2016.
Na prova masculina, Balman já saiu na frente na primeira corrida de 10km, marcando 28’43”. O campeão de 2015, Francisco Luiz Viana saiu para o pedal 25 segundos atrás, diferença que acabou decidindo as duas primeiras colocações na prova, pois, nos 5km finais, ambos marcaram 15’41”. O terceiro colocado foi Antônio Manssur Filho, seguido de Anderson Pantoja.

Na prova feminina, Ariane Monticeli dominou de ponta a ponta e conquistou o bicampeonato. Ela fechou os primeiros 10km em incríveis 30’51″e a segunda corrida em 15’53”. Nayara Luniere foi a segunda, com 32’53″na primeira corrida e 15’56” na segunda. Detlei Hasse, Maria Vangela de Souza e Márcia Cristina dos Santos completaram o pódio da elite.
